"The world hangs on a thin thread, and that is the psyche of man...and we know something about it and we know nothing about it..." C.G. Jung
Every day it behooves us to engage with the deepest part of ourself, be it psyche, soul, spirit, core self, or higher self. Take time. Make time. Know thyself.
Thank you C.G.Jung, for sharing your light, understanding and passion.

You cannot take
Without giving
You cannot give
Without letting go
You cannot let go
Without changing
You cannot change
Without desire
You cannot desire
Without fire
You cannot have fire
Without spirit
You cannot have spirit
You cannot have spirit
You cannot HAVE spirit
You are spirit
You are
spirit
You
ARE
spirit
You are spirit
Unfurling and unfolding
Letting go and giving off itself
as you spin
Weaving your own being
Into this world.
This world of spirit weavers.

Hearing the language of the soul can sometimes feel this
way. The soul speaks to us in
metaphor, symbols, feelings and synchronicities. Of course when something either speaks to our soul, or comes
from our soul, it is imbued with tremendous feeling and its expression somehow
impacts us, and those around us with distinct profundity. It is as if a pebble were dropped into
the pool of our own being, sending ripples of recognition, remembrance and
knowing.
Cultivating your soul requires that you learn to hear and
understand the language of your soul.
There are many ways to achieve this and each person will have his or her
own particular style. It is good
to have many different channels if you will, to perceive the soul with. Here are some suggestions.
1.
Listen. Turn your focus inward and just
listen. Find the best way for you
to turn your mind down very low, and then pay attention to what arises without
expecting that anything ever will.
This is the basic method and paradox to listening to your soul. Some use meditation, contemplative
prayer, or movement. The aim is to
turn down or off the minds chatter.
2.
Pause. If your life is always overbooked, for
whatever reason, find time within your day to take pauses, to breathe and
listen to what is going on for you internally. What are you feeling? What are you noticing in your body
when you have this feeling? Five minutes is perhaps all you need for a
“soul-snack”.
3.
Honor
night dreams. Take time in the
morning, perhaps even before you open your eyes, to check in and see if you had
any dreams. Reflect on the
feelings, sensations, visions and sounds that impacted you. Leave a pad of paper at your bedside to
take some notes. The more you
write the better; however, sometimes a simple sentence is all that is needed to
retrieve the whole dream.
4.
Learn
the language of metaphor. I don’t
normally recommend “dream books”, as they can be too rigid in their rules of
interpretation. However, if you
don’t take them as “truth” they can help you learn to play with metaphor. Books that explore the metaphoric
meaning of symbols can be more helpful.
Bear in mind that what you are exploring is the archetypal level of
meaning – that is a collective experience of the symbol. You will have your own personal
experience around this symbol.
5.
Notice
your daydreams. Though daydreams
may be seen as distraction, they are an important indicator of what type of
release or experience you are seeking, perhaps in the service of feeling more
empowered or free. They may
indicate metaphorically, what you need to move towards, or what you need to
change.
6.
Notice
meaningful coincidences. Use all
of your senses to pay attention to when the outer world produces ripples of
resonance within you. What is the
feeling that arises? Is there a
sense of certainty, a confirmation of something you have been feeling, thinking
or experiencing? When you learn to
maintain a dual focus on the inner and outer experience, more coincidences may
come your way.
Learn to love your soul. It holds your divine spark and
light that is your true nature.

The experiences
of synchronicities are abundantly peppered throughout my life. Sometimes they resonate loudly, like a
gong in my ears alerting my attention. Other times they are like highlighted words on a page,
beckoning me to pay attention, confirming or acknowledging an experience.
Here are a few
recent experiences I would like to share.
White Feather
While in
meditation one morning, I felt a noble native presence behind me. It is not unusual for me to sense
these types of energies. Call it
guidance, or an active imagination, this was what I sensed and simply noted.
Then came an impulse, a feeling or thought that flashed, as if being conveyed
to me by this presence, that I needed a feather. My “thinking mind”, always looking to input chimed in, “I
have lots of feathers”. Whenever I
walk, I pick up feathers as my nature treasures. I moved back into meditation and the space of openness and
emptiness. I had the impression
again, this time stronger and more forceful– you need a feather.
Okay! I thought, “I will
bring one into my meditation area when I am done!”.
I had forgotten
about this little exchange that took place during meditation and not less than
½ hour later I opened the front door, there on the front porch was a white
feather! My heart leapt and eyes
teared as I gave gratitude for life’s miracles and mysteries. In all of the 10 years living in this
home, I have never found a feather on our porch – it has a large overhanging
roof. Furthermore, I have never
found a white feather in our yard or neighborhood in any of my walks.
Pennies
This event
occurred more recently. I was
walking in a busy parking lot thinking about a recent retreat I had attended
and the wonderful soulful connections I experienced with people I had met. I came out of my reverie when my foot
came down directly behind a handful of pennies that had been strewn upon the
ground. Wow! How lucky, I thought, not one penny but
a whole bunch! When I got into the
store I cleaned them off and counted them. They equaled 13 – the same number of wonderful people I had
met!
Little
synchronicities happen to us daily. How easy it is to pass them by, to walk on
and not notice connections, validations, and confirmations that speak directly
to our soul. Take time daily to
listen to your heart. Take time to
open to your spirit, and slow down to see the spirit in the world around
you. It is always there,
everywhere. It is our distracted
rushing and busy-ness that prevents us from tasting the sweetness of life.
If you are so
inclined, feel free to share your own synchronous events!

On this auspicious and wonderful day of 9.9.9, I offer an old, little known prayer to our mother earth and the sacred feminine nature of the Divine. This prayer was found in the bowls of the Vatican and translated from Aramaic by Edmond Bordeaux Szekel in 1928, along with what is known to us as the Essene Gospel of Peace. It is postulated to have been said by Yeshua/Jesus with his reading of the ”Our Father”. Peace.
Our Mother
And after this manner (praying to your heavenly Father in the manner we know
as the "Our Father") pray to your Earthly Mother:
Our Mother which art upon earth,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom
come,
and thy will be done in us,
as it is in thee.
As thou
sendest every day thy angels,
send them to us also.
Forgive us
our sins, as we atone all our sins against thee.
And lead us not into sickness,
but deliver us from all evil,
for thine is the earth,
the body,
and the health.
Amen.

I offer this prayer to whomever finds light and healing from its words. The prayer itself was inspired by the Lord’s Prayer.
It is not my intention to suggest that the original is not good enough, or to detract from it’s meaning, but to share one aspect of the meaning I receive from it. May all beings know the light of their true nature

The dialogue in my head started while in the bath, far away from any writing implements or recording paraphernalia. It started as it often does with rapid assimilation of ideas, slowing to a merging of these ideas with my personal reality. The beginning thought was this. “What would Jesus write?”
Yes,
in this world where teachers whose public beginnings start with many words and
stories of their great works, attempting to capture their path to awareness
through the delineations of the analytical mind… everyone writes a book. It
speaks to a body of knowledge, and consistency of thought, a plan, a system and
specific orientation. Again, what would Jesus write? As quickly as I thought the question, the answer came
to me. He would write “The Book of
Love.” The more I thought of this,
the more right it felt, and then it occurred to me that this book would come in
two parts – his and hers.
I will address the hubris of His and Hers later…should you choose to
continue your inquiry.
I was taken back in memory to a time many years ago when in a
profound spiritual experience I was show the nature of our oneness and
connection to all others was through the heart. I saw white lines interconnecting all hearts and felt
a knowing from a depth of my being that karma was the hearts ways of realigning
with the original love vibration when that love had been harmed. I felt my spirit vibrating at such a rapid
rate I became frightened. In my
mind I asked what was happening, and was told that I was a molecule of
love.
We are all but molecules of love on an alchemical journey to
discover through awareness the true essence or who we are, and have always
been. All things come into being
through the cohesive power of love, all things pass through love, and in turn
are healed by their return to this original state. All demons, real and
imagined are transformed through love.
Love is the souls purpose.
Love is all there is to master no other precepts are needed, and yet it
can at times be the most difficult to master. So difficult that our bookshelves are filled with how
to’s. How to: love others in
relationship, how to know if they love you, how to love ourselves, love God,
how to not love too much, how to love what you do, what you have, what love is,
what love is not...
The list is enormous, spanning across millenniums humankind has
sought with the intellect to understand the heart. There are always limits, for the mind can never truly know
the heart, nor love. Many a
seeker and saint has undertaken the heroes journey only to come back speaking
in parables and riddles that leave our mind in a constant loop wondering over
and over its meaning, and if our focus is strong enough perhaps our mind will
freeze into moments of bliss and beingness. We have forgotten that the mind is
the servant of the heart, we have forgotten the wise mind of the heart.
